Kjetil Haaland's exhibition 'Reflections' is on view February 18th through March 2nd 2012 at Arshack, Hajek & Lehrman, PLLC 1790 Broadway, 7th floor, suite nr. 710 in New York. Opening hours: Monday-Friday 11 am - 6 pm. Opening Reception February 18th at noon.

Kjetil Haaland from Stavanger has exhibited his paintings in Norway, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Monaco, England and USA. He studied at the University of Stavanger and the University of Trondheim (NTNU), where he majored in history (cand. philol.).

Among his latest paintings, the emphasis is on motives related to the architecture of the Mediterranean and European cities. The building facades are given special attention, often seen as reflections of the windows of the new modern stores. Whilst the style is mainly figurative, the abstract is apparent in several of his works. Among Kjetil Haaland’s clients (in addition to his private clients) are GE Money Bank, and the Italian TV Network RAI.

The Italian newspaper Il Tempo, described Haaland’s style in an article as: «Dettagli Come Ispirazione» (Details as an Inspiration).
