Royal Visit 2011

Their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja are in the United States October 13-22, 2011. In Minnesota and Iowa, the Royal Couple will meet with representatives from the state governments and visit Norwegian-American environs and institutions. In New York, the King and Queen will be among the Honorary guests at the American Scandinavian Foundation’s Centennial Ball. In addition, Their Majesties will visit Ground Zero and Norwegian-American environs, and they will attend several cultural events.

On Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, around 8:00 p.m., the King and Queen of Norway attended a Grand Dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis, MN. In attendance were VP Walter Mondale and his wife, Joan, MN Gov. Mark Dayton, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Rep. Betty McCollum, Rep. Erik Paulsen, and Rep. Martin Olav Saebo.
