Transatlantic Science Week 2013

This year’s Transatlantic Science Week is called "Shared Solutions to Common Challenges: and will focus on four major themes: International Security, Cyber Security, Safety and Emergency Preparedness as well as Educational Policy and Educational Research — a wide span of timely and important issues across the Atlantic.

Transatlantic Science Week (TSW) is a conference aimed at promoting collaboration among research, innovation and educational institutions and organizations in the U.S., Canada and Norway. For this year's TSW, the Royal Norwegian Embassy is the main organizer.

The conference is made possible by generous contributions from the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research, the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security, the Research Council of Norway and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

The TSW13 webpage is now launched, and it will be frequently updated with the latest TSW13 program. Through the website, one can register for the event, read the latest draft program, and book hotels at reduced rates. Participants are strongly advised to read the draft program before registering.

As the title of this year’s Science Week indicates, there are a number of challenges that face our societies – many of them are borderless in nature and have the same impact in all countries. We strongly believe that Science Week can be an arena, where representatives from the best research and educational communities can meet and embark upon new collaborative efforts to develop shared solutions to our common challenges.
