Interested in international film? From May 16 to June 9 Seattle International Film Festival presents a wide range of extraordinary films from all around the world. The program includes many great films from Scandinavia.

The Seattle International Film Festival is back for the 39th time. The festival's mission is to bring people together by presenting extraordinary films from all the corners of the world. Included in this year's program are many great Norwegian and Scandinavian films:

BEFORE SNOWFALL

When his older sister Nermin flees an arranged marriage, Siyar tracks her from Kurdistan to Istanbul. Here a fateful encounter with a young girl creates cracks in his resolve. This film is a dazzling drama that tackles notions of loyalty, dignity, honor, and love. Director: Hisham Zaman Cast: Taher Abdullah Taher, Suzan Ilir, Bahar Özen, Norway/Germany 2012, 105 min.
