Come celebrate the Norwegian constitution day in Carderock Park on Sunday May 19. Speaker of the day is Deputy Chief of Mission Lajla Brandt Jakhelln from the Royal Norwegian Embassy. There will be music, parade, food, drinks, and games for the children.

The constitution day celebration in Carderock Park will include:

  • Picnic with Norwegian style hot dogs and drinks catered by German gourmet, sponsored by the Norwegian Embassy
  • Games and surprise activities for children
  • Ice cream provided by the Norwegian Ladies Club

The official program will start at 1pm (sharp) and last until 3pm.

The music will be performed by Rockville Brass Band, a volunteer based band dedicated to preserving the tradition of the British brass band. The band has been active in the area for over 40 years, and after many years of performing at the Norwegian celebration in Carderock Park, they are well versed in Norwegian Brass band music, playing such classics as "Jegermarsjen" and "Norge i rødt, hvitt og blått".

We look forward to seeing you in Carderock Park to celebrate the Norwegian constituttion day.
