Information about the scholarships
For over 50 years, the Brittingham Viking Organization (BVO) has provided Norwegian students with unique scholarships for studies at the highly regarded University of Wisconsin‐Madison, USA. The two scholarships of 2012 include the Wisconsin Alumni Association Scholarship for studies in any academic field, and the Apeland Viking Scholarship for studies in the field of communication. The two scholars will be allowed to take 6‐9 credits at the UW‐Madison during the summer semester of 2012.
Both scholarships include travel within the US, with a standing invitation to visit BVO alumni and their families throughout the country. The BVO is run on a volunteer basis by scholarship alumni, and the selected candidates are expected to get involved in various post‐scholarship activities.
