The Norwegian Minister of Labor in DC

The main focus of the visit was to discuss offshore safety issues and exchange views on how to strengthen offshore safety within the industry. During her visit Bjurstrøm met with Mr. William K. Reilly who was Co-Chair in the National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling. Bjurstrøm also met with  the Department of the Interior and the recently appointed Director of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, Mr. James Watson,  Congressman Lummis and representatives from the Norwegian Oil and Gas Company Statoil. The minister was very pleased with the visit.
