The government and people of Norway will receive a unique award on April 23rd in New York City: African Rainforest Conservancy's 2013 New Species Award; honoring Norway substantial support of the conservation of Tanzanian rainforest, ARCs zoologists will christen forever in the annals of science the beautiful frog, recently discovered in Tanzania's Udzungwa Mountains, Leptopelis norvegiorum.
The 22nd Annual Artists for the African Rainforest gala will be held at the Bowery Hotel, 335 Bowery, New York City. This event is open to the public. There will be a variety of artists at the event, including Norwegian artist Kenneth Blom, who has donated a piece to be auctioned that night. Tickets are available for purchase at
