Announcing the International Ibsen Scholarships 2010

Last updated: 1/22/2010 // A total of $150,000 will be awarded to individuals or institutions which organize projects related to Henrik Ibsen.

The International Ibsen Scholarships were initiated by the Norwegian government and will be handed out for the third time in 2010.

Applications are accepted for projects initiated throughout the world.

The scholarships are meant to act as incentives for critical discourse in regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen. Scholarships are applicable to individuals, organizations and institutions within the artistic and cultural communities.

The International Ibsen Scholarships are awarded annually and the applications are subject to scrutiny by an appointed jury.

Previous years, projects from Asia, North-America, Europe, Africa and Australia have received scholarships.

The presentation of the scholarships is staged in Ibsen's birth town, Skien in Norway in September 2010 and coincides with Skien International Ibsen Conference.

The application deadline for The International Ibsen Scholarships is April 15th, 2010.
