The Holiday Shop @ Scandinavia House
You’ll find unique Scandinavian holiday decorations, home décor, clothing, and gift items.  The Holiday Shop features renowned Danish artist Jette Fröhlich’s classic Christmas creations as well as products from leading Scandinavian design houses—Marimekko, Oleana, Georg Jensen, Hillestad, Icelandic Design, and Orrefors.  New to the scene this holiday: Bjørg jewelry from Norway, Blue Lagoon spa and bath products from Iceland, Pia Sjölin glass from Sweden, Én Gry & Sif wool accessories from Denmark, and Aarikka wood jewelry from Finland among many others!  The selection also includes exclusive one-of-a-kind blown glass vases from Norway, hand-loomed organic wool blankets from Denmark, collectible Finnish glass birds, Norwegian knitted ski sweaters, luxurious Saga fur accessories, traditional Sámi jewelry, hand-painted Swedish clogs, and Icelandic spa and bath products.  From home design and tableware to art glass, textiles, jewelry, and accessories from the trendiest to the classic, The Holiday Shop @ Scandinavia House is a mecca for the design-driven.

Your purchase from The Shop @ Scandinavia House supports The American-Scandinavian Foundation’s programs of cultural and educational exchange. 
Holiday Shop hours:  Monday–Saturday, 12–6 pm.  Closed Thursday, November 23 (Thanksgiving); open Friday, November 24 & Saturday, November 25, 12–6 pm. Open Sundays, December 3, 10 & 17, 12–6 pm.

Holiday Smörgåsbord with Restaurant Aquavit
Enjoy a huge selection of traditional Scandinavian dishes when the world-famous Restaurant Aquavit presents a sumptuous Christmas feast in a festive holiday setting.  Savor the season by sampling Executive Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s extensive menu of Swedish meatballs, herring, salmon, sausage, hot glögg, tasty desserts, and much more!  Lunch & dinner seatings are available.  A traditional Lucia performance will take place at the end of the first dinner seating.
Luncheon: $55 ($50 ASF members), $25 children under 12 (tax not included)
Dinner: $60 ($55 ASF members), $25 children under 12 (tax not included)

A Family Lucia
Get into the holiday spirit with a classic tale of light, hope, and inspiration.  Swedish singer Eva Engman leads the festivities as children and adults alike learn about St. Lucia's songs and traditions, and enjoy a special performance by Lucia with her crown of candles. $10 ($8 ASF members, $5 children under 12)

Holiday Concert with the The Scandinavian Chamber Orchestra
The Scandinavian Chamber Orchestra of New York performs works by Mozart, Rangström, and Delius as well as traditional Swedish Christmas songs in a special concert celebrating the magic of the holidays in Scandinavia.  Featuring the acclaimed pianist Per Tengstrand.  Followed by a reception.$25 ($17 ASF members).
