 Location:New York

Norwegian culture has influenced the US culture; and the vice versa. On December 29, the Norwegian Ambassador to the UN, Johan L. Løvald, opens a new exhibition at Heritage Hall in New York.

Many people don’t know of the tight bonds between Vest Agder and America. Ninth graders from Vest Agder know.

Many schoolchildren from this Norwegian county have documented this likeness, and their project is actually one of the two projects which will be shown on the upcoming exhibition at Heritage Hall. The other project at the exhibition is named “The Role of the Norwegian America Line”.

Roundtrip to America is curated by Greta Lafayette and the Norwegian Immigration Association Exhibit Committee.

At the opening night, the creator of the exhibit, Siv Ringdal will also present her new book Lapskaus Boulevard. The Norwegian Brooklyn Revisited.

Special guests include Miss Norwegian Heritage 2007, Kathryn Carroll. Christmas Music is presented by Frank Govertsen.

When: December 29: 2 pm.
Where: Heritage Hall, located at the Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center, 1250 – 67th Street (Btwn. 12th and 13th Ave’s), Brooklyn, New York 11219
