What really goes on in the backroom of the international diplomacy, when the camera goes off and political leaders and other stakeholders gather to handle global crisis and political matters? Jan Egeland should know. The Director General of the Norwegian Foreign Affairs Institute, and former UN Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief coordinator, presents his groundbreaking book “A Billion Lives - An Eyewitness Report from the Frontlines of Humanity”, at The Norwegian Church on March 28th.

Join in on this event, which is not just a presentation, but what Norwegians would call "bokbad" ("book bath"); Egeland will be interviewed by Ms. Mona Juul, Ambassador, Deputy Permanent Representative of Norway to the UN, and live music will be provided by the Norwegian bass’n sax jazz duo Ballrogg.
