Norwegian daily Aftenposten calls the novel an “exiting glimpse into the life of a Somali-Norwegian family” and descirbes Ahmed as a “distinct literary talent.”

The reading, which is presented in Norwegian, will be preceded by a mini-concert featuring the Swedish-Norwegian piano/vocal duo Lisa Ullén and Lisa Dillan.
