4/28/2008 :: Trio Mediaeval, founded in Oslo in 1997, is a young a cappella trio with three distinct strands of repertoire: polyphonic mediaeval music from England and France, contemporary works and Norwegian mediaeval ballads and songs. The ensemble has released four albums that have all ranked high on the US Billboard. According to the San Francisco Chronicle "Singing doesn't get more unnervingly beautiful" than when performed by Trio Mediaeval."
This is the second time Trio Mediaeval has joined forces with Cantus. Originally founded at Minnesota's St. Olaf College, Cantus is one of the few full-time vocal ensembles in the world.
