Learning Enrichment develops study units for use in American classrooms. They have recently updated their Norway unit, aimed at social science courses in grades 7-9.
11/8/2006 :: The Norwegian Consulate General in New York is continuing its good collaboration with the educational information website Learning Enrichment. For over 20 years, LE has provided schools with supplementary study units on nations, regions, and contemporary issues.
ON Learning Enrichment's website - www.learningenrichment.org - teachers of social studies in the 7th to 9th grade will find complete study units, as well as a variety of material about contemporary Norway to assist in developing those topics in the classroom. The material includes facts about the country, a discussion about Norway's welfare system, as well as its foreign policy and relationship with the US.
In addition, Learning Enrichment has also developed study units on the vikings and the Nordic region. The units are free to use, and available for download now.
