Presenting a new White Paper on Labour Migration on April 18, 2008, Minister Bjarne Håkon Hanssen emphasised the need for a continuing influx of labour to Norway. The Norwegian economy has been growing rapidly over the course of the past few years, and labour migration has contributed to lower the pressure in the economy.
5/2/2008 :: Over the past years labour migration to Norway has increased significantly, and in an increasingly globalised economy still more qualified labour is needed.
Petroleum and energy are important sectors for Norway, and highly skilled workers in these sectors - and others - are attractive for Norwegian companies in seeking new employees.
