Six contemporary Norwegian artists exhibit their paintings and prints inspired by Henrik Ibsen’s plays at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Silver Spring, MD. Opening reception January 17. Exhibit runs through February 23.
1/10/2007 :: Ibsen Through the Eyes of Artists features paintings and prints by Bjørn Carlsen, Tore Hansen, Therese Nortvedt, Ulf Nilsen, Thomas Knarvik, and Hanne Christiansen.
These six Norwegian artists were inspired by Henrik Ibsen's most important dramas and interpret his work in their own distinct manner. The exhibit consists of 21 originals and a portfolio of 16 graphic prints.
Join Norwegian Ambassador Knut Vollebaek along with artists and Chairman Kim Nesselquist of the Norwegian American Foundation at the opening reception on Wednesday, January 17, at 6.30pm. (Free attendance, no RSVP)
