Seed Forum is a non-profit organization putting together matchmaking events for early stage companies, investors and potential partners. Seed Forums are currently conducted in 17 countries, and all forums are taking place twice a year. Their concept is to bring companies, seeking funds and entry in new markets, to local investors and other groups of interest creating a global meetingplace.
4/28/2008 :: The Seed Forum has grown rapidly since it was founded in Norway in 2002. Since its first event in Minneapolis in 2006, Seed Forum has held a focus on presenting companies within Medtech, IT and renewable energy. These are among the industries identified by Innovation Norway as the most promising industries with regards to Norwegian cooperation with the United States. With the large Norwegian American business community and the strong ties to Norway in the Upper Midwest, this region has a great potential of becoming the most important gateway for Norwegian companies to the US market. Seed Forum is working towards promoting this relationship, making awareness of the business potential on both sides of the Atlantic.
The next Seed Forum event in Minneapolis will be held on May 15, 2008. More detailed information will be available later.
