Celebrate May 17th by attending a traditional Norwegian breakfast hosted by the St. Olaf College Norwegian Department and the Norwegian House. The breakfast will feature a variety of Norwegian breads and cheeses. meats and fish, waffles and pastries, and fruit. + More

On Saturday May 17, you can celebrate Syttende Mai at Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum in Decorah, Iowa. There will be free museum admission, a children's parade, the Nordic Dancers, activities for all ages, and food. + More

The Norwegian heritage of many of Stoughton's citizens is celebrated each year as the entire town and thousands of guests observe Syttende Mai. Stoughton's Syttende Mai celebration dates back as far as 1868, when Norwegian immigration to that part of Wisconsin was reaching its peak. + More
