How to set up an appointment

You must set up an appointment to get a biometric passport. You can do this by e-mailing or by calling the consulate at (415) 882-2000. The application documents must be filled out in advance before arriving at your scheduled appointment. Appointments are available from 1 - 3 pm Monday - Wednesday and Friday. If you became a Norwegian citizen at birth and you do not live in Norway for at least two years, or in Nordic countries for at least seven years, before you turn 22, you must apply to keep your Norwegian citizenship.
